Community Spotlight:
Merrill Gardens at Queen Anne

Merrill Gardens at Queen Anne is a very spirited and vibrant community with a team that is dedicated and eager to serve the community and its residents with respect and experience. The community is located in the cultural center of Seattle in lower Queen Anne. The community is right by McCaw Hall which hosts the Pacific Northwest Ballet and Seattle Opera, Seattle Repertory Theatre, and Seattle Center.

The community is also just around the corner from downtown Seattle which plays host to Seattle Art Museum, 5th Avenue Theatre, fabulous restaurants, and great department stores and boutiques. The community is unmatched in terms of proximity to shopping, doctors, and restaurants and its also close to grocery stores, drug stores and medical centers. Also nearby you will find the Queen Anne community center and indoor swimming pool.
Merrill Gardens at Queen Anne features two beautiful buildings that encompass the entire city block. The West building has a beautiful courtyard with a fountain, patio area, circular walkway bordered by a continuous brick planter box, and the resident’s greenhouse. Several of the apartments on the 1st floor have patios adjoining the courtyard, and others on the 2nd and 3rd floors have courtyard views and/or balconies overlooking it. The East building has a waterfall fountain at the main entrance, several patio areas, and a wonderful rooftop patio with a planter box garden and amazing view of downtown Seattle. Everyone loves the parties thrown on the rooftop, especially the views of the holiday fireworks display. Each building has spacious common areas with plenty of seating and tables, games and pool tables.

Merrill Gardens at Queen Anne is a great place to call home and the folks who live here are an active group!  Here are a couple of the recent getaways and activites:

Oktoberfest: We had a great trio and dancing group entertain us and everyone had a wonderful time dancing in the dining room while enjoying a German buffet.

Ronald McDonald House tour: A group recently took a tour of the Ronald McDonald House. The group took pleasure meeting the families that were staying there and learning more about organization.

King 5 Station tour: Another group got the chance to tour the local TV station and meet some of the on air personalities! This was so much fun that the community plans to take groups there once a month! Everyone got a chance to see behind the scenes at the station including a chance to chat with the news anchors, and reporters.
