Our residents have so much passion and talent! Last Friday, Merrill Gardens of Kirkland (WA) presented an amazing rendition of “The Crane”, an old Japanese folktale. We had a great turnout for the show and all involved had a fun time getting ready for opening night. From dancing to crane making, over 25 residents participated in some aspect of the show.
Active Living Director, Charlie Dillon directed the production and incorporated yoga, tai chi, meditation, ballet, singing and dancing. Rehearsals took place over the course of three months and it surely paid off – the show was amazing!
The art work for the show was also done by the residents who made the 1000 cranes themselves. Way to go everyone!
