When it was time to officially open the new pool at Merrill Gardens at Solivita Marketplace, General Manager Patrick Poon was ready to take the plunge!
With much encouragement from residents and team members at the community, Patrick wanted to make a splash.
He wore his official lifeguard shirt and got ready to test the waters.
It took him a few minutes to work up his courage, contemplating which move would impress the crowd.
His jump was a combination belly flop and cannonball and it was a doozy.
He sent a pretty good wave of water up into the air and when he came to the surface he had to search for his hat. Our hats are off to Patrick for his brave leap - it was the perfect way to christen the beautiful new community pool.
The official grand opening of the new pool is set for Saturday, November 9 from 11am to 3pm when the community will host a party for residents, complete with hula dancers, a talent show and Luau style food and drinks! Call 407-462-0682 to RSVP.
