We are pleased to announce that our community in Oakland, CA is the Gold winner of the 2019 National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Best of 55+ Housing Awards. This is the premier design competition for the 55+ housing industry and we are thrilled to be recognized. Winners were announced recently at the NAHB International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas.
Merrill Gardens at Rockridge was chosen as the winner from a large number of entries featuring newly built retirement communities across the United States.
Our partners at Pillar Properties and Urbal Architecture are responsible for the design and construction of the community that features spacious apartments with full kitchens and an architectural style inspired by the local area. The community has stunning common areas including a theater, bistro style wine bar, and lots of cozy places to gather with friends.
Located in Oakland's East Bay, Merrill Gardens at Rockridge is in the center of the coveted Rockridge neighborhood and the community design matches the classic architecture of the area. The community is close to cafes, gourmet restaurants, bookstores, and antique shops. It's right across the street from an upscale shopping center and close to BART.
There are 126 apartments at the community with a mix of studio, one and two bedroom units. The community offers independent living, assisted living and memory care.
