Holiday Rundown!

Written by The Team at Merrill Gardens | Dec 3, 2020 8:00:00 AM

Celebrations were a little different this year, but we are so happy that our teams found creative ways to bring an incredible Thanksgiving to our residents. Complete with costumes, gifts, crafts, tasty treats and so much more, we are so thankful for all of the joy that was created!

At Merrill Gardens at Kirkland (WA) one team member dressed up as an adorable turkey and brought along Zero, the puppy. Alongside the fantastic costume, the team also set up safe outdoor visiting areas, as well as a wine cart happy hour and a socially-distanced putt-putt tournament!

Our team at Merrill Gardens at Monterey (CA) had a similar idea as they had their very own human-sized "turkey" walking around the community! On top of that, they put together a delicious Thanksgiving brunch and organized a fun cupcake decorating contest.

The residents in our community in Boise, Idaho had the cutest idea of writing down what they were most thankful for. Receiving photos like this truly warms our hearts and only make us even more grateful for the incredible residents that we have across the country.

With Thanksgiving now in the rearview mirror, we are looking to our next project for the holiday season. For the seventh consecutive year, the Merrill Gardens team is partnering with our sister company, Pillar Properties, to come together to support Toys for Tots! This year will be unlike any other, but we are committed to doing all we can to help bring joy to children in need, and hope you can help us!

Due to the safety restrictions, we are asking for cash donations this year as we are unable to gather the usual truckloads of toys that we have in the past. These donations will help the Marines in their mission to ensure that children in our area enjoy this holiday season!

On top of giving to an incredible cause, all donations are tax-deductible! If you'd like to contribute please click here and donate by December 18th!
