Every year we are blown away by the amount of time our residents and team members give to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. Thousands of participants make the Walk to End Alzheimer's the largest event in the world dedicated to raising awareness for Alzheimer's care, support, and research.
This year the events looked a little different and we were reminded once again how creative our teams are. Finding a way to stay safe while virtually bringing everyone together for this amazing cause was no easy task, but with some incredible teamwork, our residents and team members got the job done! Across all of our participating communities, we were able to raise over $40,000!
At Merrill Gardens at Woodstock (GA), the team set up fantastic decorations and residents created their own inspiring signs! It is amazing to see all these people come together for a common goal, as the local community contributed as well including neighbors and families.
In sunny California, Merrill Gardens at Santa Maria residents picked up their paintbrushes and created their own signs to support the walk. They were also able to listen to some live music and enjoy the day while raising money!
Team members at Merrill Gardens at Lafayette (CA) jazzed up their community with decorations and handed out some fun snack bags to their residents!
At Merrill Gardens at Solivita Marketplace (FL), you could see all of the excitement as residents and team members wore all purple to support the fundraiser. We love to see the commitment!
