Making An Impact On Giving Tuesday

Each year our community teams, residents, friends and volunteers join in their local Walk to End Alzheimer's event to support the Alzheimer's Association. This is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research, and we all love to participate!  We are so proud of the unity shown by our community teams supporting this important cause.

Our teams had a great season gearing up for their local walks - with creative fundraising events at their communities such as bake sales, car washes, Sunday brunches, and silent auctions!

The team at Merrill Gardens at Santa Maria helped raise $11,000 for the Alzheimer's Association!

The Santa Maria community team had 28 members on the walk team and were the #1 top fund raising team in town! Resident Sister Janet Corcoran, raised a whopping $6,380. This year she was also the #1 fundraiser for our walk in Santa Maria that raised $73,424.93 total!

The Merrill Gardens at Rancho Cucamonga team at the Ontario, CA event!

Our three Arizona communities gathered to participate in the West Valley and Phoenix walk! The teams and residents at Merrill Gardens at Anthem, The Groves and The Oaks had a blast hanging out and raising awareness about Alzheimer's disease.

The teams were decked out in the color purple, which is the official color of the Alzheimer's awareness movement.

We love to see our residents and team members giving back and in honor of Giving Tuesday we have an easy way for you to give back too.  Fill out a gratitude card and you''ll be entered in our drawing with a chance to win $100 for a great cause like the Alzheimer's Association and $100 for yourself.  It's our way of celebrating gratitude and acknowledging those who touch our lives in a positive way.
