Merrill Gardens Gives Back

Written by The Team at Merrill Gardens | Sep 8, 2017 7:00:00 AM

This may look like just a bingo game at The University in Seattle but its much more than that - these residents and team members are helping to make a difference in the lives of some very special children. They are supporting Stamm Camp with this special bingo fundraiser.

Over the last seven years residents and team members have raised enough money to send 20 children with complex medical conditions to this special camp that was founded by Dr. Stanley Stamm (seated below).   The community has been supporting the camp ever since Dr. Stamm moved to Merrill Gardens seven years ago.

Dr. Stamm started the camp over 50 years ago to allow his patients an opportunity to experience the joys of summer camp. He calls the camp 'the love of his life.'  The kids who attend agree, many saying it's their favorite week of the year.

Merrill Gardens team members don't just raise funds for Stamm Camp, they also head up to the camp every year to volunteer.  Here they are helping with the games on Carnival Day.

We are so inspired by everyone at The University for their efforts on behalf of Stamm Camp.  They are truly making a difference.
