A Special Way to Honor Community Veterans

We are so proud of the Merrill Gardens at Woodstock (GA) team for creating such an amazing mural to honor the Merrill Gardens at Woodstock community veterans.  This Wall of Honor was completed with the combined efforts of general manager, Arthur Eyzaguirre and retired community relations director, Raquel Bustos.

Bustos (right) is a frequent visitor to the community and she loves spending time with residents and former colleagues. Throughout her tenure at Merrill Gardens, she grew close to residents who served our country and felt moved to honor the 28 veterans who live at Woodstock. Bustos and Eyzaguirre, a veteran himself, decided to construct this Wall of Honor in the community.  Bustos volunteered to paint the large mural, too!

Once completed, the community held an unveiling and luncheon with about 200 guests, including their local congressman and Woodstock Chamber of Commerce members.

This one of a kind display is a focal point for the community and we are so proud of our team for commemorating the contributions of our veterans.
