And just like that, another holiday season has flown by. December has been a busy, joy-filled month for our communities — the fun truly never stops. We have a few of our favorite moments to share with you as we close out a great month, and another great year for the Merrill family of senior living communities!
Our Venice (FL) community’s holiday events were so grand they made the news! Christmas came early for them when they were visited by a miniature pony, a class of caroling preschoolers, and even Mrs. Claus.
Merrill Gardens at West Covina (CA) got us in the spirit of the season with their toy drive for the Marine Toys for Tots! Team members, residents and their families collected toy donations for children in the program and dropped them off to West Covina Fire Station 3 before Christmas.
Our Lafayette (CA) community observed Hanukkah this year, the eight-day Jewish festival of lights. They hosted a Menorah lighting with Cantor Leigh Korn from the Temple in Lafayette, his father Art, and residents and community friends!
December is a busy time for Santa but he still managed to visit our Tacoma (WA), Port Charlotte (FL), and Mercer Hill (PA) communities before Christmas! It doesn’t matter how old you are, everyone wants a photo with Saint Nick.
Speaking of special visitors, our Anthem (AZ) community must have made the naughty list this year when the Grinch crashed their Christmas buffet! He was up to no good, but the residents and team members couldn’t help but enjoy his mischievous behavior and big hugs.
With just a few days left in December we can’t wait to see how our communities finish the year. See you in 2023!
