October has been one busy and exciting month for the Merrill family of senior living communities. From Oktoberfest celebrations to preparations for Halloween, residents and team members alike have been taking advantage of this holiday season!
We love a good Oktoberfest celebration, and our community in Bradenton (FL) definitely went above and beyond! It looks like it was quite the party as they had costumes, decorations, delicious food, tasty beverages and were set up in some gorgeous Florida weather.
What's better than buying decorations for Halloween? Making them yourself! So many communities have sent in photos of their creative and festive decor, and we are loving every second of it. Team members in Cottonwood Heights (UT) made their decorating into a little competition as they had residents vote on the best pumpkin!
Residents at The University (WA) also broke out the paint for their pumpkins as some went with spooky designs and others wrote some themed messages!
Barkley Place (FL) residents emptied their craft closet as they gave every pumpkin their own faces and personalities! Some were simple, and others were wacky, but they were all super fun to look at.
In Clovis (CA), residents wanted to go and pick out their own pumpkins for Halloween, so the team got everyone together for a fun trip to the pumpkin patch! We couldn't believe how many pumpkins filled the tents at the patch.
As Waterview Court (LA) ramps up for the big Halloween weekend, they decided to take some festive photos with their pumpkin mask!
No matter how you decide to celebrate this spooky time of year, we hope you have a blast doing it!
