One of the highlights of our year is recognizing the Merrill Senior Living HERO of the Year. This team member is an exceptional part of their community, who exemplifies our values and consistently focuses on providing the best care to our residents. This year, we had the honor of naming two! We briefly introduced Sam and Tanya in our last blog, but please read below to learn more about these team members who were recognized at this year's General Manager meeting as well as at their communities.
Sam Clemetsen – Merrill Gardens at Greenville (SC)
To know Sam is to love him, which is probably what drew such a crowd for Merrill Gardens at Greenville's HERO celebration. Team members, residents, and family members gathered for the reveal, and all had gushing words for his positive attitude and strong work ethic. As one team member put it, "Sam is just his own type of amazing."
Tanya Kovtunenko - Merrill Gardens at Renton Centre (WA)
Merrill Gardens at Renton Centre shone "bright like a diamond" for their grand HERO reveal party. The team dressed in red and decked the room in sparkle, all for their Dining Room Manager, Tanya. It was hard to keep such a surprise from a woman who is so involved in her community, but they pulled off an epic celebration for a very deserving team member.
