We have some very talented residents living at our communities and we are particularly impressed with the work of Daisy Ching who lives at Merrill Gardens at Renton Centre (WA).
Daisy participated in the city of Renton 'Adopt a Hydrant' program.
The city asked local artists to submit an idea of how they would paint a hydrant. Daisy's submission was chosen and she took the plain yellow hydrant and turned it into a masterpiece.
Daisy got to be there to see city workers replace the plain hydrant with the one she adopted.
Daisy's hydrant is one of 20 hydrants around Renton to be painted by local artists. The goal of this program is to embrace the artistic talents of local individuals while displaying creative artwork throughout the community and we think Daisy's hydrant is an excellent addition!
