Our teams and residents are celebrating summer with fun activities, outings and events together. We love to see residents and friends out enjoying the beautiful weather! Here are some of our favorite happenings from Summer 2019:
Merrill Gardens at First Hill (WA) hosted their first annual Fun Fair and fundraiser for Parkinson’s Disease. They invited the whole neighborhood, friends and family of residents. They had a live band, carnival games and local food!
Our community in Kirkland, WA is located just up the street from the Lake Washington waterfront and they hosted a celebration for their 10-year community anniversary at their annual waterfront picnic for Kirkland's first responders! Merrill Gardens at Kirkland (WA) residents enjoyed lunch with the city's police and fire department team members.
Merrill Gardens at Monterey (CA) celebrated Hawaiian culture with a Luau celebration. Residents and family enjoyed an evening with Mai Tai's and a delicious appetizer and dinner spread. Chef Jaime even cooked up a 43-pound pig!
Residents at Merrill Gardens at Rancho Cucamonga (CA) and Merrill Gardens at ChampionsGate (FL) enjoyed spending afternoons swimming in their courtyard pools with volleyball and aerobics to beat the summer heat!
It truly wouldn’t be summer in the South without a Low Country Boil cookout! Merrill Gardens at Woodstock (GA) enjoyed an incredible spread prepared by Sous Chef, Richard for their gathering in the courtyard paired with the best musical talent around! Our very own resident, Joe, joined the live band on his saxophone.
Our communities are taking advantage of the summer season with outdoor activities and events. We are excited to see more of what the sunny season brings!
