Residents, team members, and volunteers at Merrill Gardens communities across the country came together to raise funds and participate in the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
All 28 Merrill Gardens communities participated in the walk events from September through November, and the results of the fundraising efforts are incredible!
The Groves team in Goodyear, AZ brought along family, friends and volunteers to join them at the Phoenix, AZ event!
Merrill Gardens at Santa Maria (CA) raised over $20,000 in donations this year! They are planning an ice cream social event to thank their volunteers. Here are General Manager Audie Sherberg and Community Relations Director Kim Adams at the Santa Maria Alzheimer’s Walk event!
The Merrill Gardens corporate office team in Seattle participated in the Seattle Walk to End Alzheimer’s with our Washington state community team members! The Seattle team dedicated the week prior to the Seattle Walk for several different fundraising events. Donations collected from a breakfast event, basket raffle and the annual Fun Splash event made for a successful week of fundraising!
The Pines in Rocklin, CA also hosted several fundraising events. The Pines team members paired up with the Whitney High School Cheerleading Team for a car wash. They also held a “Purple Power Happy Hour” to kick off the Sacramento Walk to End Alzheimer’s event. Their team raised over $3,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association!

All together, Merrill Gardens raised $36,750 this year! We are so proud of the amazing efforts by our teams to support the Alzheimer’s Association. We are already looking forward to next year!
