We have always known that Lori Hansen who leads our Bankers Hill community in San Diego, CA is the best of the best and we are thrilled to see her accomplishments recognized by the California Assisted Living Association (CALA).
Lori received the organizations most prestigious award, being named the Outstanding Executive Director of the Year. CALA chooses recipients based on their commitment to providing outstanding quality care and service to residents. We can certainly attest to that - Lori is known for her creative approach to care at her community. She created "14 Days of Love," a celebration culminating on Valentine's Day to express appreciation for residents and team members. She also dresses up at Mrs. Claus for the holidays and she organized a Christmas in July event so that a resident on hospice care could enjoy one last holiday.
Lori is an effective mentor for her team members with 25 years of experience in senior living and she leads by example, guiding team members to develop their skills and grow within our organization. Last year she received CALA's Advocate of the Year Award for her work on behalf of the senior living industry.
