Executive Chef Larry's Favorite Summer Recipe

Executive Chef Larry Khayatzadeh at Merrill Gardens at Campbell, CA is not only an exceptional chef at our community, but he is also known as a friend to our residents. Chef Larry has been working at Merrill Gardens for more than 18 years and has been a team member at Campbell since the community opened in 2013. He has also hired and trained all of the dining team members.

“I have always felt and still feel that working for Merrill Gardens is like working with your family. There is support when you need it and everyone around you is happy for you when you succeed,” says Chef Larry.

Chef Larry hosts a monthly “Cooking with Chef” event, inviting residents to participate in hands on cooking. Through this event, residents can make unique recipes together and share their stories of being in the kitchen.

Another event that residents and kitchen team members enjoy are Chef Larry's kitchen tours. This gives residents an opportunity to check out the Merrill Gardens kitchen behind the scenes and visit with team members.

We asked Chef Larry to share his favorite summer recipe with us and we are proud to present his Orange Balsamic Cornish Hen served with Spinach Couscous. This recipe serves 10 people, so gather the ingredients and some friends to follow the steps for a delicious meal!
